- Retail Credit Risk Underwriting Officer is responsible to evaluates all the retail product applications based on the Risk parameters already defined in our Credit Risk Policy of each product. This role analyzes Retail Product application sourced through any acquisition channel, gives recommendation and decision on cases based on BSF internal Credit Risk Policy for each product.
- Other than the internal BSF policies a Credit Analyst also needs to keep abreast knowledge of Governmental policies and regulations on the retail products, its implementation on Credit Policies and determine the impact on Risk Exposure.
- Prepares risk recommendations in order to implement relevant actions which will ensure a proper control of risk. Creates reports and ad hoc analysis to be used by management, coordinates report requests with the requestor ensuring understanding of the request and inclusion of all elements. This role also participates in new project development and implementation.
- Reviews Retail product applications received from processing department on daily basis for their completeness in terms of Risk Related documentation and other minimum eligibility criteria requirement.
- Conducts basic analysis of the applications thoroughly to determine the degree of risk involved in extending credit limit to the customer and subsequently takes decision on them.
- Prepares risk recommendations in order to implement relevant actions which will ensure a proper control of risk.
- Creates reports and ad hoc analysis to be used by management, coordinates report requests with the requestor ensuring understanding of the request and inclusion of all elements. Also prepares monthly, quarterly, and annual reports that used by retail risk department.
- Works with operational and processes team to understand the captures the data and source of data in order to obtain the data for analyzing and preparing necessary reports.
- Responsible of handling any issues in risk department with Information System and participates in the development and implementation of new projects.
- Implements any special assignment, other relevant task or project assigned by direct manager.
المهارات
- Diploma or Bachelor Degree in Business, Finance or Economical related courses.
- 2 years of working experience in banking environment, Credit, Corporate or Commercial Banking
- Knowledge of business and risk analytics.
- Knowledge of Retail products.
- To be fully aware of and comply with the Central Governing Body (SAMA) rules & regulations for extending retail facilities to the individuals.
- Sound knowledge of relevant credit procedures and policy.
- Excellent analytical, numeric, verbal and written skills.
- Ability of resolve problems, be capable of thorough research, and develop alternatives and solutions.
- Ability to effectively communicate with Business and IT
