Job Description
- Configure/Install/Maintain Oracle databases to include Oracle Database 11g, 12c, 18c and 19c.
- Administer Oracle RAC and Multitenant databases inclusive of backup and recovery strategies.
- Manage Oracle Enterprise Manager 13c Cloud Control.
- Manage Oracle Data Guard, ensuring high availability and data protection/back-ups.
- Perform ExaData performance tuning and Application performance tuning.
- Manage SQL Server databases through multiple product lifecycle environments, from development to mission-critical production systems.
- Configure and maintain database servers and processes, including monitoring of system health and performance, to ensure high levels of performance, availability, and security.
- Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO), using native monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
- Apply data modeling techniques to ensure development and implementation support efforts meet integration and performance expectations
- Independently analyze, solve, and correct issues in real time, providing problem resolution end-to-end.
- Refine and automate regular processes, track issues, and document changes.
- Assist developers with complex query tuning and schema refinement.
- Provide 24x7 support for critical production systems.

- More than 5 years of experience with Database Machine Administration (DMA).
- Maintaining/overseeing Oracle Exadata Database Machine architecture.
- Managing multiple Oracle Exadata Database Machines.
- Implementing Exadata quarterly upgrades/patches, to include rolling patches.
- Administrating Oracle RAC and Multitenant databases inclusive of backup and recovery strategies
- Performing firmware upgrades, managing Integrated Lights Out Manager (ILOM), Cisco patching, Infiniband patching, and network tuning.
- Managing critical hardware information and database machine alerts.
- Maintaining storage availability during patching as well as storage cell patching.
- Creation/management of Database and Database File System components (Data Files, Log Files, Trace Files, etc).
- Creation/management of Database Logical Components (Tables, Data Dictionary, etc) not associated with Entity Data or Objects.
- Coordination/documentation of all installs/configurations/patches including application schema changes.
- Availability for operational support 24/7
