Reporting to the Digital Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for the creative writing activities in a clear and concise manner (Arabic & English) for all marketing related materials, including webpages, apps...etc. . The content you will be writing should engage with the targeted audiences. Our ideal candidate is a team-spirited, skilled, and imaginative writer with an eye for details.
She/ he will work with the marketing and design team, agency partners, and internal stakeholders, to write creative messaging that delivers on strategic marketing priorities.
Accountabilities:
- Translate English content to Arabic and vice versa
- Write clear, attractive copy with a distinct voice that matches the brand tone of voice with feeling, sentence structure and emotions.. Grammar counts
- Collaborate with designers, PR and other professionals on large- and small-scale marketing projects (email campaigns, SMS, social media copy, landing pages, and press-releases)
- Edit and proofread copy as needed
- Use our SEO strategy and principles to maximize copy’s reach
- Taking marketing advertising brief and generating original copy ideas that grab the attention of the target audience. This can include creating straplines, slogans, body copy, and translation
- Familiarizing herself/himself with the product, target audience and competitor activities in the market
- Modifying and translating the copy until it meets the brand tone of voice, approved and final
- Overseeing the production phase, booking and liaising with designers, illustrators, printers, photographers and production companies + writing the cast scripts in any ads campaign
- Brainstorming ideas and concepts for the visual and words with marketing team and other members of the design/product team
Skills
- BA degree in marketing or translation.
- 3 years + experience in creative copywriting roles in agency or client side.
- Experience in writing multimedia scripts and scenarios, and creating video ideas and concepts.
- You will have experience leading and managing the overall content of the brand.
- You will know how to create original work and develop ideas around the chosen themes
- You will need to write well with proper tone, feeling, sentence structure and emotions.. Grammar counts too.
- You will know what great content is and be confident pushing back on creatives or suppliers until the content is fit to publish.
- High standards of excellence and attention to details
- You will be fluent in English (fluent in Arabic is an asset).
