This role is responsible to conduct research, advises the impact of financial opportunities and issues, develops long range of business investment forecasts and budgets. This role also prepares monthly, quarterly, annually and ad hoc financial reports for management review.
This role assists in preparing economic and financial research and analysis for use in the development of Management Control and Financial Planning business strategies and tactics. This role will typically have some accounting experience with a Bachelor degree. The role works under direct supervision of Financial Planning Manager on routine but for productive assignments.
Accountabilities
• Researches background materials including relevant economic and financial data and submits findings and interpretations for Management review.
• Quantifies the financial impact of the opportunities or issues involved on customer credit limits, loans or payback period and new products and services.
• Provides input to the development of long-range financial forecasts and related Budget data (Revenues, Expenses and Capital Expenditure) considering alternative scenarios and economic prospects as appropriate.
• Balances and reconciles system data with data received from external sources, interacts with other functional areas and supports to solve the routine budget issues.
• Prepares independently ad-hoc financial estimates, budgets, analysis and commented and presented according to the instructions received from Financial Planning Management.
• Prepares monthly expense reports and provides variance analysis for management review.
Skills
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor degree in (Business, Financial Services, Accounting or Economics).
• Minimum 2 years of work experience in a banking environment.
Knowledge & Skills
• Proven ability to multi-task, work under pressure, and meet tight deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy is required.
• Good knowledge of relevant products/services.
• Sound knowledge of relevant procedures and policy.
• Capable to perform financial statement analysis.
• Has good computer knowledge and command over Excel.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Well-developed report writing skills.
• Written and spoken fluency in English.
