Manager Institutional Credit Risk

Job Purpose

Manager Institutional Credit Risk is a mid-level position in Risk Management Group, adjudicating credit requests for the designated and assigned portfolio. The selected candidate will be looking after certain areas within Corporate and Wealth Management Clients in various industries underwriting from plain vanilla transactions to semi-complex structured deals. Where necessary consult with Senior Manager, Institutional Credit Risk for additional guidance.   

Accountabilities

1- Preservation of high standards of credit risk assessment and appraisal in line with bank's credit policy, standards, risk appetite guidelines and related procedures.

2- Credit Process Efficiency - Support Senior Manager in timely completion of credit reviews of the assigned portfolio, meeting the quality standards.

3- Professional engagement with all stakeholders to finalize decisions on all credit requests. Escalation of issues to hierarchy in RMG to take corrective action at the earliest.

4-Portfolio management, monitoring and House Keeping: On-going monitoring of the designated portfolios through external and internal resources and to ensure that corrective actions are taken in a timely manner.

5- Detection of early warning indicators/signals in the assigned portfolio together with follow up with business to propose remedy of the situation. Escalate such issues to the Regional Manager for further rectification.

6-Full participation in ad-hoc requests for internal, regulatory and external consumption.

7- Full knowledge of Moodys Rating Platforms (MRO) to risk rate a borrowing entity.

8-Team Cooperation within CRD and other departments - willing to contribute and share for the success of the team and assume responsibility.
