Job Description
- Creating and enforcing policies for effective data management
- Roll out an enterprise wide data governance framework, with a focus on improvement of data quality and the protection of sensitive data
- Serve as a liaison between Business and Functional areas and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are clearly defined, communicated and well understood and considered as part of operational prioritization and planning
- Define indicators of performance (KPI) and quality metrics and ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
- Implementing efficient and secure procedures for data management and analysis
- Establish rules and procedures for data sharing with upper management, external stakeholders etc.
- Assist with reports and data extraction when needed
- Monitor and analyse information and data systems and evaluate their performance to discover ways of enhancing them (new technologies, upgrades etc.)
- Ensure digital databases and archives are protected from security breaches and data losses
- Troubleshoot data-related problems and authorize maintenance or modifications
Skills
- Minimum 7 years of experience in Technology and Data Management is preferred
- Degree in Technology or related majors.
- Excellent understanding of data administration and management functions
- Familiarity with modern database and information system technologies
- An analytical mind set with problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Experience in Data Governance & Data Management
- Knowledge of Data Governance artefacts (data dictionaries, data architecture, data quality, etc.)
- Knowledge of data governance practices, business and technology issues related to management of enterprise information assets and approaches related to data protection
- Knowledge of data policies and data securities
