Reporting to the Senior Manager - Head of IT Capital Markets, under Enterprise Delivery and Transformation you will be accountable for technical Delivery, integrity, operation and support for Capital Markets Applications. Your mission is to drive the Bank towards achieving its stated ambition to become the most experience focused bank in the region. We’re not happy with just being up there – we want to be world class and recognized for it. To achieve this, you will need to:
- Ensure that the system is always available and that integration between it and the rest of the Bank is live.
- Get Support from Admin, DBA, system infrastructure for Capital Market Operations and Delivery.
- Manage data integration and any customized requests.
To achieve your mission, you must be able to discharge the following responsibilities:
- Maintain the Bank’s relationship with the Vendor (Finastra / Bloomberg, Refinitiv..etc)
- Evaluate IT vendor solutions to measure and collect customer feedback
- Follow-up on the platform implementation and latest updates
- Manage the vendor to deliver requests related to dashboard presentation and measurement execution
- Liaise with IT on all technical requirements, initiate change requests and follow-up on new developments / upgrades of systems
- Prepare change requests and submit them to the right process
- Follow-up and monitor all Capital Markets related IT developments and Projects
- Review produced files, batches, Jobs
- Liaise with key stakeholders on security and confidentiality matters, including data confidentiality, privacy statements and data sharing topics and technical Risk Finding.
- Support platform end users and manage access rights related to Capital Markets.
- Manage data integration liaising with Enterprise Data Management Team.
Skills
You will be a naturally inquisitive and have a strong background in Capital Market and Treasury and have a quantitative, IT or Mathematical discipline in your educational background.
- Being a ‘banker’ will be an advantage, but is by no means critical. We need someone that has a genuine and authentic passion for Capital Markets and Treasury and is willing to ‘go-to-bat’ on behalf of our customers and users
- Exceptional analytical skills, high energy and motivational drive will be wording that others will have used to describe you.
- Experience of managing Capital Markets and Treasury applications, problems and proposing solutions.
- We do things based upon solid fact bases and remove our personal opinions as much as possible. You will have a data-driven mentality and a sound business judgement through strong analytical thinking. You will be able to prioritize competing demands efficiently.
- Strong planning and organizational skills are merely a hygiene factor for you – it’s just what you do, all with a meticulous attention to detail.
- Whilst speaking Arabic will take you places here, fluency in English is a must.

- A university Degree in computer science or related fields.
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in application development role.
- Proven working experience in Java development or any OOP language.
- Excellent knowledge of Unix OS and Unix Shell Scripting.
- Excellent knowledge of Java development
- Excellent knowledge of Relational Databases and PL/SQL.
- Background experience in applications for Treasury and Capital Markets (Kondor Suite).
- Excellent communication skill.
- Used to work in an Agile way
