Job Description

Responsible for designing, developing and delivering the organization's tax strategy. Preparing Zakat and Tax payments and the monthly reports for GAZT and the management. Also support in review of company’s contract to identify any impact and provide solutions and recommendation for the zakat and tax issues.

 

Accountabilities

  • Lead and coordinate the development and delivery of financial policies, guidelines, and protocols across the business to ensure the BSF complies with GAZT regulations and good financial practice.
  • Prepare Zakat & Tax payments,
  • Organize and update the company tax database and share financial data with the accounting department to reflect all transactions
  • Recommend tax strategies that align with business goals that will develop the function performance
  • Identify tax savings and suggest ways to increase profits
  • Develop and improve relationships with Board members, identifying priorities, issues and strategic challenges and preparing them for discussion. Work is focused on a significant function or equivalent area of the business.
  • Manage tax provision and tax compliance process

Reporting

  • Complete Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Tax reports to fulfil legal requirements
  • Prepare necessary paper work for tax payments and return to ensure a proper documentation.
  • Support in preparing and providing various reports as required by regulators (SAMA, CMA, GAZT etc.)

Annual Budgets

  • Support the Business Lines and support divisions in the preparation of their annual Tax Budgets

Systems

  • Suggest innovating solutions or systems for process improvement using best practices that are designed to ensure accurate, timely reporting.

Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required.
  • Professional Certifications: VAT Certification (e.g GCC VAT Diploma or SCOPA VAT Specialist) is preferred.
  • 10-15 years’ experience in the related environment
  • Solid knowledge on KSA Zakat and Tax Laws
  • Change Management
  • Management reporting
  • Ability to work with spreadsheets and to query databases
