Job Description

Job Purpose
This role deals a variety of financial instruments within a defined area of Global Trading and Funding (Money Markets or Foreign Exchange) dealing to deliver profit on those transactions. This role buys and sells in specific Treasury products, Markets within defined boundaries in order to maximise Bank profit from deals. Typically requires three years of experience in a dealing environment of progressively larger and more complex dealing situations.

Accountabilities
• Deals a variety of financial instruments within a defined area of Global Trading and Funding (Money Markets or Foreign Exchange) dealing to deliver profit on those transactions
• Deals within defined dealing limits (position, stop-loss and profit and loss) so that financial risk to the Bank is controlled
• Reports any outstanding positions and profit and loss to the Head of Money Markets and Funding or Head of Foreign Exchange according to prescribed reporting schedules so that the Heads understand the position of the financial control is maintained
• Maintains an understanding of market dynamics in order to proactively develop appropriate dealing positions for the Bank or assists clients in developing their financial targets
• Makes price for financial instruments and liaises with colleagues and clients so as to offer competitive Treasury products and pricing to corporate and consumer clients
• Liaises with Junior Dealers and other Treasury personnel to ensure the timely processing and reconciliation of all transactions
• Develops and maintains effective relationships with customers, authorised counterparties or brokers in order to promote dealing expediency
• Adheres to all relevant Codes of Conduct set by SAMA and other external bodies to ensure full procedural compliance
• Discusses regularly with clients on financial needs

Skills

• Bachelor degree in a numerical discipline (Mathematics, Statistics or Economics)
• 3 years of dealing experience in a range of financial instruments

• Detailed knowledge of a specific area of dealing and all relevant products, financial instruments
• Thorough understanding of personal dealing limits
• Thorough understanding of economic and market drivers for a specific area of dealing
• Thorough understanding of dealing administrative and reporting processes and procedures
• Computer literate with a thorough understanding of processes and procedures
• Excellent communication and report writing skills
• Written and spoken fluency in Arabic and English languages
