The role is responsible to provide leadership in providing business and product development support to IBD. This would include providing leadership to grow business, customer-base and to introduce new products and services.

• Provide leadership and manage the market analysis of target segment and products available in the market with the purpose of benchmarking and to identify their product and service needs.
• Work actively with other Business Lines to develop, launch and promote new, innovative and profitable Shariah compliant products developed around customer segmentation needs, market conditions and the Bank’s strategic focus. This includes active management to ensure product strategy and profitability is achieved throughout the product lifecycle.
• Work with the relevant business division to market Islamic Banking products and services to the targeted segment.
• Ensure the growth of the segment with respect to the quantity and quality of the segment and individual products introduced whether in terms of acceptance and profitability.
• Drive the development of new segments and develop new Islamic Banking products and services in line with the need for the targeted segment.
• Ensure the develop all the required product documentation which includes product brochures narrative, forms, legal documentation etc.
• Drive the product development process and coordinate with all stakeholders to launch any product.
• Drive the management of post implementation review of products and services launched and enhance or revise products based on market feedback.
• Manage the coordination of communications with all business lines for their requirements, questions etc. for SAB meetings.
• Represent IBD in clients’ visits.
• Custodian of all SPG’s.

• Bachelor’s Degree or Masters’ Degree
• The candidate must have at least 10 years of banking experience with at least 3 years in a managerial position and 6 years’ experience in Islamic Banking.
• Management and development of Islamic banking products and services.
• Extensive experience in establishing and managing business processes and managing projects will be an added value advantage.
• High levels of personal and professional integrity.
