Reports to : Head of Special Assets Management
Department : Special Assets Management
Group : Risk Management Group
1. Represent the bank with government / judicial bodies for litigation/enforcement.
2. Drafting legal claims or memorandums for submission to judicial bodies including Sama Banking Dispute Committee (SBDC), Enforcement Court, General Court, Grievance Board, Imarah, Ministry of Commerce, Negotiable Instruments Committee (CPC) etc.
3. Attend hearings, appointments, sessions at competent judicial/government bodies.
4. Review agreements, attend meetings and negotiate debt settlement issues with delinquent clients in adversarial condition as directed by SAM management.
5. Negotiate and construct settlement agreements, release letters etc., to ensure that due diligence and the various laws surrounding these commitments are complied with.
6. Provide legal guidance for the rest of SAM team
7. First hand involvement of critical/complex NPL accounts.
8. Prepare/submit mission reports to SAM Manager summarizing developments concerning clients.
9. Develop and maintain professional communication with courts and government officials.
Skills
• Bachelor degree in Law.
• 7 to 10 year experience in Litigation law with a bank and/or a major law-firm.
