- Coordinates with business lines in order to obtain approvals to issue and or amend letters of credits in compliance with bench mark standards set within Trade Finance.
- Follows up on unpaid Export bills on a regular basis, checks TTA & Nostro accounts on a regular basis and reconcile the accounts at regular intervals.
- Reconciles accounts according to defined timescales to ensure the accuracy of transaction processing (Wash, Margin and Nostro accounts).
- Coordinates with clients in the event of any ambiguous conditions / discrepancies, clauses stated in the application, in order to complete the issuance of letters of credit and or amendment with minimum delay.
- Resolves minor processing and reconciliation issues to ensure that operational accuracy, compliance and efficiency is maintained (Rejected transactions, DAR & GLA 9500 Anomalies etc.).
- Escalates the customer complaints and suspicious transactions to senior officers and supervisors.
- Performs day to day complex Letter of Credit operational transactions and ensures compliant with policies, and procedures and bank’s standard under the Manager’s guidance.
- Prepares monthly, quarterly and yearly MIS and ad hoc reports as required from different business lines.
- Implements any special assignment or project given by Supervisor or senior Trade Finance managers
