Summary:
This position demands basic skills with some experience in coding business applications. With more experience and/or specialisation in specific languages the Developer can be designated a Senior Developer. Senior developer may also manage sometimes a small team to deliver reports to Section Manager.
Job Purpose:
• Analyse the requirements
• Design of small size applications
• Develop business application software as part of the project or support teams.
Description
Liaise with business users to determine user requirements and document these fully to provide the basis for problem analysis and the development of specifications.
Devise and implement programs, systems and related procedures, ensuring conformance with business specifications.
Identify, prepare and perform unit test plans, systems testing, performance testing and parallel testing in order to ensure that systems/networks comply with specification.
Appropriately analyse and resolve problems, referring them to superiors as necessary, in order to minimise their effect on business operations.
Act as mentor to junior colleagues, where appropriate, in order to support their technical knowledge development.
Actively maintain a current level of knowledge of the relevant BSF technical environment through both formal training and self-development (reading; asking questions; seeking information) in order to ensure the highest levels of performance are achieved.
المهارات
Knowledge & Experience:
Bachelor or Master Degree in Computer Science or related field.
3-5 years of experience.
Extensive knowledge and hands on experience in particular area of technical expertise. This will cover one or more of the following skill areas:
Programming languages and technologies used in major systems
Office automation environments and software packages including productivity tools and applications i.e. development tools, office suites, e-mail, etc.
Data processing techniques and contemporary computer technology
Industry related technologies
Brief understanding of the following:
Hardware components and architecture
Telecommunications/hardware (routers, concentrators, hubs, Ethernet, Token-ring, Gateways, modems)
Network systems, software and hardware
LAN/WAN topologies and protocols
Operating Systems (UNIX, O/S2, WINDOWS) and their corresponding network structures
Well-developed knowledge of banking business operations.
Experience in Oracle PL SQL, procedures, functions, packages & triggers.
Experience In MS-SQL database
Experience in Microsoft C#.NET, PHP, VB.NET, ASP.NET, JAVA & MS Sharepoint
