Cash Center Officer

Job Purpose:

This is an experienced Cash Center Officer role responsible for internal and external cash requisitions from branches, Wealth Management, Corporate and Business Banking clients, sending and receiving cash from SAMA, counting physical cash pertaining to the Cash Center and observing security measures as per the defined standards, guidelines, policies and procedures. This role provides value added Cash Services operational activities accurately, efficiently, within turnaround time. This role supports in accomplishment of plans and objectives for the business.

Job Description:

- Anticipates the cash demand of branches, ATMs and other customers and initiates requests to receive cash from SAMA, and maintains the cash level in the vault for all currencies as per the policy limit.

- Makes visits and conducts the counting of cash received and delivered to and from branches, ATM teams, CIT Companies (Cash-in-transit), SAMA and other entities.

- Processes the cash requests as per the limits, policy and provides requested cash demand to branches, ATMs, Global Transaction Banking, Corporate Banking, Business Banking and Wealth Management customers.

- Manages, controls and backups the latest keys and combinations of the Cash Center vaults with the Regional Cash Services Manager on a quarterly basis as provided in the procedures and within the policy framework.

- Assists Regional Manager to coordinate with concerned functional areas in order to draw and implement smart tools to monitor and control Cash Services transactions and explores on the possibilities of automation wherever possible.

- Assists Regional Manager to coordinate CIT (Cash-in-Transit) companies and ensures cash operations are managed in the most cost effective and secure way in line with BSF policies, SAMA and Ministry of Interior rules and regulations.

- Responsible to cover any physical shortages found in sent cash to requesting entity and any shortages found during spot verifications and count by management or Audit.

- Prepares monthly, quarterly and yearly MIS reports and submits to Management, Financial Control, External Auditors and for onward transmission to SAMA, wherever applicable.

- Ensures operations are carried out in compliance with Cash Services procedures (Daily balancing of the cash, Cash Center access, functionality of CCTVs and security equipment and etc.).

- Undertakes complex and non-routine operational and administrative activities, correction requests, conducting additional research where necessary, to support ongoing business activities and provides high quality service to internal and external customers.

- Implements appropriate filing of transactions of cash requisitions, cash transition from and to SAMA, foreign currencies requests and etc. as per the procedure and data retrieval systems, in order to ensure ease of access to up to date information at all times.

- Implements any special assignment or project given by the Head of Cash and ATM Services or Regional Cash Services Manager.
